Christ-Net Our Direction

Our Direction:

It is our goal to build a network of Christian “Believers” that work together to foster healthy relationships and develop a framework in our community that supports a synergy of talents and parts that work together to bring about a restorative and empowering environment that equips it’s members to mission and minister effectively. Our missions take on a larger role in the world, while our ministries take on a more direct role within the community for the purposes of building up.

With this goal in sight, our strategy begins with the Christ-Net portal (internet terminology, simply a point of contact). There is a certain evolution that is expected in the process of folks developing an understanding of the mission and ministry of the organization. The fostering of understanding and the development of relationships develops into a sense of stewardship. Understanding that God continues to be the owner of all of our resources, we steward those resources, targeting them to the most good. For the purposes of the discussion of the Christ-Net network, stewardship and membership go hand in hand. To some extent, whether active or passive, all members become stewards of this resource. The evolution takes place when passive membership becomes an active stewardship.

It is important to have this process in mind as we continue our discussion. Without active stewardship, we fail. This stewardship is not referring to monetary support, but more importantly to the sense of ownership and belonging that is pivotal to this work. Talents and time are much more important than financial resources.

Understand, we believe that God has set us to this work, we also believe that God will provide monetarily. What we also realize is that the hands and feet of Christ on earth belong to us and we have all been endowed with certain talents and strengths from our Creator. Because we are his hands and feet, we need to act for him.

So, realizing that we are very frugal fiscally as an organization, and that we rely on the stewardship of the network to survive and get the work done, it only makes sense that there are no paid positions in the organization at this time. All ministry positions are a dedication of time and talent to God’s work.

With that said, lets discuss the organization and how it provides the structure on which the work rests. The organization is called “The Foundation For Christ Centered Healing and Recovery Programs” or “C#” for short. We like to say that “C# is a score written in the key of life”. We say this because Christ is life, and the interaction of all the parts of his body is symphonic, so Christ centered (the key) healing and Recovery is a written score because it is with purpose that we do this work, it is not ad lib. The mission of C# is simply to provide the organizational backbone necessary to support all Christ Centered works of Healing and Recovery. Because the organization is a 501C-3 it is legally a non profit organization and as such is a vehicle for the Financial Resources necessary to accomplish this work.

We were able to start without this organization as private funds are driving development, but eventually the network will need the organization to channel funds that will come in from donations and the proposed Mission Outlet Store back to the Missions that will need those funds.

If you haven’t already done so, please read the about us section, if you feel as though you could be a part of the Mission and Ministry we describe and possess the love of Christ for all God’s people, we invite you to give prayerful consideration to a ministry position and further invite you to join us in this work.

I pray that all of us will receive the wisdom of the Holy Spirit and see each other with the love of Christ.

In Jesus name, we love you!
